DELHI Research in Motion, makers of Blackberry mobile phones, launched
the Curve 9360 smartphone in India at . 19,990 on Tuesday, reports Our
Bureau. The handset is equipped with the new BlackBerry 7 operating
system for faster, more fluid internet browsing experience, an upgraded
processor, display and memory extendable to 32 GB. It also comes with
built-in support for near field communications, pre-loaded latest
BlackBerry messenger that can be seamlessly integrated with social
networking platforms. RIM India managing director Frenny Bawa said the
Curve series was extremely popular in India. “Curve provides an ideal
upgrade path for our existing Curve customers as well as the millions of
feature phone users in the Indian market,” she said.

BlackBerry OS7 is the operating system on the device and it comes preloaded with a document viewer and social networking applications. The 2.44-inch display (480 x 360 pixels) takes pride of place over the optical trackpad and the QWERTY keypad.
